“[As a writer] you have to have the three D’s: drive, discipline and desire. If you’re missing any one of those three, you can have all the talent in the world, but it’s going to be really hard to get anything done.”

Nora Roberts

Writing Consultant in Health and Wellness

My objective is to use my writing to reach, teach, and motivate audiences to learn about their world, take meaningful action, and enrich their lives.

I hold a PhD in Communication Studies with a specialization in organizational and healthcare communication. Before freelancing, I was a tenured university professor for 11.5 years and then a researcher for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for six years.

My writing projects have covered topics in health and medicine, crisis communication, relationships, travel, business, finance, education, history, healthy eating, and lifestyle. My specialties are articles, blog posts, and white papers. I also do writing consultations.

I enjoy learning and writing about new subjects in ways that can make an impact and generate results. I strive to help clients who want to add value to people’s lives, not just add to their bottom line.
